Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Wednesday 28 September 2011, by Cécile Desbrun

written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, originally performed by Judy Garland in Meet Me in St. Louis by Vincente Minnelli (1944).

As a musicals and Judy Garland fan, Tori covered "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" that has become a classic Christmas song in the US since the 40s. In the Minnelli movie, the song appears in a scene where the 5-year-old sister of Judy Garland’s character is distraught by their father’s plan to leave their home in St. Louis to move to New York. Esther (Judy Garland) tries to comfort her by singing this song.
