A Sorta Fairytale

lundi 12 septembre 2011, par Cécile Desbrun

UK single

Release Date : October 14, 2002
Catalog n° : 6730432
1. A Sorta Fairytale (101 Mix) 3:58
2. Operation Peter Pan 1:45
3. A Sorta Fairytale (Original Single Version) 3:58
4. A Scarlet Story (CD-Rom video) 1:50
A Sorta Fairytale was the first and only single to be released in the UK to promote Tori’s seventh studio album Scarlet’s Walk. Although this 4-track Maxi Single was the most widely spread, there is also a regular single including 2-tracks : the 101 Mix as well as the exclusive B-Side "Operation Peter Pan."

Why get it ?

• Because it’s Scarlet’s Walk main commercial single.
• Because it features a short but beautiful original B-Side called " Operation Peter Pan."
• Because it features the 101 Mix.
• Because this edition was deleted.

I wouldn’t buy it if

• I’m only interested in really rare singles, which isn’t the case here. Even though the single was deleted, it is very easy to find and not expensive at all.
• I’m only interested in beautifully packaged singles and E.P.’s. This is a custom picture sleeve featuring a gorgeous photograph, but that’s all there is to it.

In brief

A nice addition if you collect Tori singles and singles including original B-Sides mostly. The up is that it’s cheap and can be easily found. The down being… the same.

Where can I find it ?

Amazon.com, eil.com, 991.com or eBay, among others.

What’s it worth ?

Not much, since it isn’t rare at all. Prices vary depending on the seller. You can find used copies from 3,5€ (Amazon.co.uk) to 12€ (Amazon.fr).

In brief

For completists only.

Where can I find it ?

Amazon.com, eil.com, 991.com or eBay, among others.

What’s it worth ?

Since it was released very scarcely by Epic, it is a little bit hard to find (but not that rare either) and costs an average of 31€… which is quite enough for a vinyl featuring only 1 track.
