Wild Way

« Isn’t it funny how we can first really appreciate someone and we appreciate who they are and then, as time goes on, we can stop appreciating that. And I don’t know why it happens, but it can, it happens to a lot of people. » (Unrepentant Geraldines interview DVD)

"I think the thing about ’Wild Way’ is I played it first piano/vocal and it could have lived on its own in that way, but we felt that if it didn’t build, if something didn’t start to happen, that we were missing an opportunity, that it was almost too safe. So it was about finding what it was. And so it began to become clear that the song was demanding an arrangement. The verse needed its own treatment and the chorus needed its own treatment and we had to create different spaces for them to do that. So it was just a very simple... following what the piano was doing." (Spotify’s Unrepentant Geraldines track-by-track audio commentary)
